"Wild Violet Haze" - The Bluebells of West Woods
I love painting the bluebells at West Woods each spring. Early, misty mornings are one of my most favourite times to visit, when the light settles into a quiet, diaphanous glow and the forest feels slightly otherworldly. In this painting, I wanted to hold the contrast between the luminous lime green of the young beech leaves and the powdery violet-blue of the bluebells, allowing the colours to soften into a gentle, atmospheric and dreamlike haze.

Open with care and handle your artwork with clean, dry hands and avoid touching the painted surface. Ideally use cotton gloves for added safety.
Keep your artwork away from direct sunlight and moisture, strong heat sources and sudden temperature changes.
If framing, use good quality materials and UV-protective glazing where possible.
Dust the frame gently with a soft, dry microfiber cloth. Do not use water, cleaners, or solvents on the artwork.

With simple care, your painting will retain its colour, surface and character for years to come.

Independent wildlife rescue centres do an extraordinary amount of work, often with limited funding and constant operational demands. Their work is not only caring for injured, orphaned or vulnerable animals; it is also about the running of the centre itself, supporting and training staff and volunteers, managing supplies and keeping everything operational with each seasonal demand.

Having spent time working with a local wildlife rescue I know from direct experience how much care and commitment this takes. Supporting these centres is one small way my artwork can give something back to the wildlife, habitats and people who continue to inspire it.
