Every original artwork and print is inspected a minimum of three times before clearing for shipment and only pristine artworks are packaged for you to enjoy. My aim with these small studies was to explore the kingfisher’s form and structure, experimenting with its colours, playing the warm and cool blues tones off against the orange plumage. I wanted to use light to define the bird’s form, giving it the same striking presence it has in real life: a vivid flash against its atmospheric surroundings.
